* When planning a party for your child, no matter the age, it’s best to keep the number of guests small – 8 children total is a good size. Not only does it help in keeping costs down, but it also helps create a more personal experience.
* Decorations… You may have heard that decoration is everything in planning an event, which would be true if only the event wasn’t a child’s birthday! Consider including a really great Arts and Craft, and invest your money in that first – then what’s left at the end put into decorations. It’s what you do during the party that counts – not how many streamers and balloons you can fit in a room. J
* Games and Activities should vary in intensity – just like in a movie you work up to a climax, so should your party! Pick a variety of games and activities that will require the children to sit down and listen, as well as stand up and move around. Order them so that you build up to the most exciting one!
* Candy in goodie bags are so a thing of the past! Why not fill goodie boxes with cool theme related things your guests can use and/or wear! For example, if you’re having a princess party, consider giving tiara’s to each guest to take home as a keepsake!
